BEAUTIFUL SATURNA ISLAND!

We are located on in the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. Accessible from the nearby cities of Victoria and Vancouver, with BC Ferries offering 4 daily sailings from Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island and sailings Tsawwassen on the Mainland. Our Campground is conveniently located next to the Lyall Harbour ferry terminal, as well as to the public wharf where recreational boaters can find daily and overnight moorage (the first 2 hours are free!). In addition, Seair Seaplanes has 3 daily scheduled flights to Lyall Harbour from Vancouver International Airport.

Traveling from Vancouver?

For those traveling from Vancouver.  Please verify with BC ferries and the corresponding schedule on a “thru fare” travel option. Travel to Saturna would be from Vancouver to Swartz Bay (Victoria) and then from Swartz Bay to Saturna.  The thru fare ticket is issued at Vancouver Twswassen based on Vancouver to Saturna.

You must take a ferry early enough from Twswassen to make the turn around.  Often you will have extra time which you can use to visit Sidney by the sea before going back to the ferry for the Saturna Afternoon sailing.  Just be sure to get there in plenty of time Saturna is a no reservation from from Victoria.

EXPLORE THE UNEXPLORED

If you haven’t heard about Saturna Island before, we are home to 350 year-round residents, as diverse as we are colourful– retirees, young families, artists, politicians, entrepreneurs, designers, farmers, builders, socialites and recluses. The people of Saturna are very welcoming, and work tremendously hard to throw awesome events– such as the annual Lamb BBQ, biannual Pig BBQs and Prawn Fest– for locals and visitors alike to enjoy. Nearly half of Saturna Island is protected within the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve which boasts a network of spectacular hiking trails and beaches to entice any traveler. For example, East Point’s lighthouse park is known as a premiere terrestrial whale watching destination, with orcas, humpbacks, and porpoises visiting year round.
